Let there be light! We transformed this dark and dated space into a gorgeous transitional kitchen filled with beautiful details. We removed the soffit and replaced the irregular shaped island with a streamlined version finished in a soft gray stain. The island contains a combination wine and beverage refrigerator and microwave oven which is more functional for this family. Hexagon marble tiles and a Carrera quartz countertop compliment the white cabinetry. Our a-ha moment arrived when we removed the old built in hood cabinet. This really opened up the wall and allowed us to take the hexagon tile up to the ceiling creating a beautiful focal point. The dark floors, bronze cabinet hardware and island pendant provide a nice contrast with the kitchen cabinets . We also transformed a jack and jill bathroom and an additional guest bath. We installed stunning diamond pattern marble tile on each vanity wall in the jack and jill bathroom and carried this into the shower on a feature wall. In the guest bath, we paired a geometric tile softened with a watercolor effect with textured white subway tile and added penny round tiles in the shower niche and on the shower floor. It's so unexpected and fun!
