This client's front and dining room sat empty for two years. The client wanted these rooms to be eye catching as these are the first areas guests will see when they enter her home. We took her out of her comfort zone by mixing patterns and fabrics in her dining and front room area. The blue ikat fabric is a complete standout against the style and finish of her dining room furniture. We chose solid blue velvet fabric for the arm chairs to balance the look. The solid blue "bow tie" area rug provides a beautiful anchor for this vignette. The crystal chandelier adds a spectacular glamorous touch and is reflected in the oblong mirror on the wall. We chose blue and white coral patterned fabric for her window treatments and repeated coral theme in her table centerpiece. In the front room, we reversed patterns by selecting a bold blue and white area rug layered with a settee upholstered in blue patterned crocodile leather and two different blue velvets. The ottoman's acrylic legs allow a clear view of the entry area rug. In the entry corner, we placed an animal hide console table with polished nickel legs below an antique mirror to continue the glamorous look throughout the space. End result is a striking entry to welcome guests!
